3/31/07 - So a few things happened since I last modified the site. I bought a house, moved in and a few other instruments that required my attention. I made did make a little progress though!
While I watched Fargo one night I busted out the elbow grease and started in on the second wax patch under the treble pickup. Dig it:.

| So, from what I hear, this melted wax wasn't just my problem...don't get your harp hot! |
Almost done. BTW, if you haven't seen Fargo I highly recommend it. Unless you hate great cinema then don't see it. |
I've pulled globs of ear wax out of my head that were nearly that big, but not quite. |
I separated the two mounds of wax from each of the individual pickups so if I ever try to melt the wax back into the the pickups I won't over-do it. |
Well. I finished up that portion. I was notified that the 'soundboard' is actually made of formica. That explains why it could take all the scraping required to get the wax off. The bad news is that I did leave a few gouges under the first pickup. They're not visible unless you really get down there. I can live with that.
Okay. I've decided that retuning will come after I replace the strings. So, while you're waiting patiently you'll find this interesting:
